I would like to know from those of you have been "rated" as loss of use;  Is this a specific disability you have to make a claim for and have a C&P exam for just as you would hearing, heart...

namwife2 Generally speaking the "loss of use" is a SMC for a creative organ, basically Erectile Dysfunction. Loss of use of legs, hands, feet and such are rated for the specific disease that caused...

Thanks, Daman. We actually have filed for A&A and the doctor fillied out the form for that, so maybe that is all we need.

My husbands doctor filled out the A&A exam form and that's all we needed...no c&p. took 16 months though and they back payed to the date of the exam.

If a service connected problem has progressed to the point that makes it unsafe to ambulate, then an increase in the S/C disability rating may be possible.
